On waiting for permission to walk your own path

This is what always amused me: Edgy anarchists always talking "Oh I wish there was anarchy, it would be sooo cool.." I mean what are you waiting for? Whose permission are you waiting for? You want some authority to declare that "As of tomorrow, we live in anarchy." i.e. "You have my permission to be leaderless, to reject hiearchy" ? That's never going to happen. If you really want it, live it.

People are always waiting for others to change before they themselves have the courage to change. They want others to make it ready for them, to do the hard work, to build it for them; "I want the society to be X, and I'll be X when everyone else is.." Well, I guess the society isn't going to be X then - It isn't going to be like you want it to be, because apparently you don't want it all that much.
