Freedom, choice, reality

I think in reality one can believe whatever he/she/it wants, and you can believe otherwise.

"I'm a transgender screwdriver" "No, you are not"
"I'm a translottery winner, gimme money" "No, because I don't think you are and neither does anyone else, so no money."
"I believe I'm entitled to.." "I don't"
"I think X should have more.." "I think they shouldn't"

We are also free to [choose to] do whatever we want.

I usually hear a counter argument to that freedom bit to prove the idea wrong "So umm like if I can do whatever I want, then I want to take your phone" to that I reply "Sure you can try, but since we are all free, me included, I am free to resist that"

Then usually follows the idea of the law. "No, you're wrong, because if I stole someone's car, why do the police arrest me and throw me in jail and stuff then, huh?" The justice system is free to do so, I mean what's keeping them? And of course you are free to resist that, but I wouldn't recommend it beyond a certain point, because there will be consequences to that. People are free to make laws, others are free to follow them.

"So okay, am I free to fly then? Huh?" You are free to try, but I believe reality strongly disagrees with you on your definition of flying, but see if you are strong enough to be right.

"What if I rally an army of like minded people and crush the opposition?" Sure, you can do that. But be sure that the opposition isn't sided with reality, because that one will crush you e.g. Don't bite the hand that feeds you/Don't pull the rug from under your own feet. Meaning: do not crush an enemy that really isn't one, that you are dependent on and/or is standing between you and the real enemy. (This is something that all those "fuck the police" "killallmen" people should really consider.)

It's about choice, you are free to choose. But every choice has a consequence, a payoff, a price to pay. The only thing keeping you is yourself and your (sometimes warranted)fear of consequences and repercussions. Nothing is free, so choose wisely.

tl;dr: reality is the only true law we have (for now), arbitrary man made laws do have their place, I do agree with some of them
