Knowledge is its own reward

Expanding knowledge, searching for the truth of things and learning is its own reward, if it's not then you're doing it wrong and for the wrong reasons. 

Rewarding one and celebrating one for that will send one on the wrong path. Look at our schooling system for example: kids are rewarded for certain knowledge, and whoever is in charge gets to decide what is that certain knowledge(gender studies etc), students cheat so they can get the recognition, not the actual knowledge. Because that recognition has the rewards. 

But then again this problem will fix itself too, soon no one trusts the degrees anymore, because they actually don't prove anything if they can be achieved by cheating.
