Ghosts sitting down

A humorous comment about Obi Wan's ghost sitting down in The Return of the Jedi, made me write this piece [of sh..].

"didn't know ghosts got tired and had to sit down"

Tl;dr: Being a ghost ain't easy.

Whatever he experiences in his new plane of existence manifests in our reality as sitting down.

Existence in any form that can be differentiated from other forms is a struggle on some level and magnitude against those said forms, thus consuming your energy reserves (which only exist as a separate because you are a separate form, a differentiable entity from air, a space squirrel, a power converter, wood, stone etc), so those reserves can be depleted and need a recharge. To conserve those reserves one can reduce the consumption rate by limiting the consuming actions like walking (which is a form of separation: velocity difference compared to the "background"), thus lengthening the existence of a separate entity, in this case: the glowing ghost form.

The more energy you spend the more alive (more separate, more of your own being) you seem to be. The less separate you are, the less energy you need to exist. The less you move, the less distinctive you are from everything else, the more you are one with it; very little separation is noticeable, you have very little of own movements and actions.

This is why we have a saying "Dead as a rock" since it doesn't move. Though it's not dead in the absolute sense, since there still exists an entity that can be called dead. It's a very embodiment of existing without moving [on its own] and being very adamant about it. This is also why we consider machines to be dead: although they can move and do repeating tasks, they are still stuck to their pre-programmed patterns, so in a way "still" and not "alive". (NOTE: This is something people should consider when they are living the same day over and over again, stagnating without growing or improving, not moving from their current situation. Nothing wrong in that, it's just something to consider on a personal level: is this it for me, am I okay with this?)

The act of conserving energy and limiting the consumption rate manifests in our reality as stillness (standing still, sitting, sleeping). To appear in our reality one must abide by those rules. Replenishing the energy reserves manifests in our reality as eating other entities (i.e. plants and animals if you are physically manifesting being). If your being consumes more energy than you are providing to it, it disappears since it can't justify its existence by the rules of this reality. The separation is gone.

So anyway: if the glowing ghost form was his natural state of being, why isn't he always around? Why does he appear briefly if it didn't require additional energy to do so? Nothing is free. And since he isn't a physical/corporal being, the biggest question is: What did he do to "buy" these brief appearances? All I can think of is: Obi Wan the soul eater..

EDIT: Oh and I'm fun at parties.
