The continuation of humanity

I've always wondered why is this "humanity" so important to keep going.

"Smart" people are more independent and do not require others so much to survive, so called "stupid" people require a group to keep them alive, thus they are more acceptable to the tribal identity stuff (the tribe in this case being humanity).

A group is always lead by the [relatively] smartest one(e.g. the strongest brute is smart enough to stay the strongest), thus the stupid always need the smart to survive. Or at least to raise their standard of living, and they don't even realize this, leading them to envy the very people who enables them to even have time to be envious.

I don't think it's important to reproduce for humanity's sake. Which is just a group of inept people, who need and demand you to sacrifice yourself for them, to keep them going. Because it's the "right thing" to do, the "noble thing" to do or whatever. Why keep them going? They aren't even trying to improve themselves. So what's the benefit?

I say let the stupid people inherit the earth by themselves, after my death (if that ever comes) it probably doesn't matter to me.

I myself am average at best. Actually I'm average in being average, so in any case I'm not smart enough for there to be any reason to keep my genes going, but I'm not dumb enough to do it anyway.

Maybe the greatest gift smart people can give to humanity is not reproducing: it forces the stupid people to become smart for their own sake. If that's not a "proper" sacrifice (for those who for some reason expect there to be one) then I don't know what is, after all the smart ones wouldn't just be giving up their own life, but their genetic legacy as well. Though I suspect that this gift wouldn't be used properly, because after all stupid are stupid.
