Why do you need anyone to "get" your "inner workings"? They can never
"get" it, no matter how many words you use. You aren't that important to
anyone else, they just want to label you so they can move on with their
lives. I think the hope of acceptance is what is behind this need to explain yourself.
Don't try to tell who you are, BE who you are.
People will misunderstand you regardless, by being yourself instead of
trying to explain yourself there will be less misconceptions. A part of
being an individual is to be not accepted on some level, that is what
being unique/different means. You will never be accepted, for someone to
understand you they'd have to be you. And no one's going to give
themselves up to do that.
So forget what other people think of you; what other people think is
none of your business.
There is no reason to explain yourself, you ARE your explanation.
By
being you, you are self-explanatory.
Just focus on your own opinion of yourself. Be someone you can
respect.
PS. Just ask yourself (be honest) how deeply do you REALLY want to know
other people? Is there an ulterior motive behind the interest beyond
mere curiosity? How many people do you just dismiss with a label? Especially
if they are nothing like you? So don't be surprised if other people do that too.
