On gender identity and labeling yourself

"If you take biology out of the question, the meaning is only derived from the social constructs surrounding gender. If biology is irrelvant, how you see yourself and how others see you is the entire meaning of being male or female."

If you "take biology out of the question" then the words "male" and "female" do not refer to anything.. you might as well say "I'm drgiinnzla but I identify as NN5ldaa's and that makes me a kkfWpu862fna--<z" = no one knows what the hell you are talking about.

Because words are created to mean some manifestation of reality, to point at something that can be shown clearly, recognized and differentiated, if there was no "biology" there wouldn't be words "male" and "female" or even "transgender" for that matter. You can't separate those, since biology clearly exists.

And if you make up words to prove a point, then good luck trying to convince someone of their meaning (that is if there already isn't a word for those). You really can't describe something that doesn't exist. Even made-up creatures like Pegasus, unicorns, griffins, centaurs, mermaids, Buer etc are mentally created using animal parts from existing creatures.

Words are created to convey meaning to other people, so that whatever you are trying to tell is understood by other people, words are created to serve a need: if there is no existing word for a manifestation and it is pertinent for someone else distinguish the difference between it and some other manifestation of reality i.e. "that yellow liquid is piss and not apple juice."

The reason why people go with all the Xe Xir Nir stuff is that they are trying to make their personal identity a dictionary definition so that everyone should instantly know who they are, they want to feel special but not alone at the same time... To be an individual that belongs to a group.. IMO There is no gender identity, that's just identity - you being you, which inevitably differs from someone else. Instead of reducing yourself to a label, why not be your-unlimited-evergrowing-infinite-awesome-self?

“General ideas are no proof of the strength, but rather of the insufficiency of the human intellect.” - Alexis de Tocqueville

"Once you label me you negate me." - Søren Kierkegaard

Words are for other people's convenience, so they can generalize your uniqueness, because it would take a lifetime to actually get to know you, it's easier just to chuck you into a ready-made box of labels, because other people have their own lives to live. Just don't do it to yourself, this lifetime is for you to get to know you, don't reduce yourself to a word - you are more than just sound to be heard, or symbols on a paper or on a screen.
Just be yourself - you are more than your body (which is just an interface of reality for your consciousness) what people choose call your physical manifestation is none of your business.
It doesn't define you.
