You may not care about politics... but politics cares about you.
And that's why you should voice your opinion on stuff, otherwise you may one day find yourself surrounded by lynch mobs.
Do not hide your stance, all the ideas should be brough out in the open so the best one may win. If not, then the worst ones go unchallenged and will become prevalent, since they win by default.
Always challenge the ideas you think are stupid, and if the alternative you suggest is stupid that should be challenged too - and the one that triumphs over the challenges will be the best one and thus closest to the truth of things, to reality i.e. it works.
The closer to the truth your idea is, the more invulnerable it is - since nothing is more true than the truth, nothing is more real than reality itself.
