So no matter how good Solo or the next ones are going to be, I'm not going to pay the full price for them. I'm not going put in effort to see any of them, it's the franchise's turn to put in the effort for me. If a very cheap chance arises and I have nothing better to do, I might take it, i.e. offer me a net benefit; more than I put in; an actual value; a gain with a guarantee, otherwise I'm not interested.
It's like dealing with a pathological liar, once you've identified it you'll lose all hope for any meaningful interaction; You just don't listen, no matter what the liar tries to tell you or convince you of, since it's hopeless. It's like a fish telling you the nth time it'll be a lion, "I'm so sorry that I took advantage of your trust, but this time for real, you just gotta give me this one last chance, you just gotta believe."
TL;DR: You've made your bed, now lie in it.

PS. In case you missed it: Being worth something and not taking advantage of others(i.e. not having a negative effect on others) is the very basis of continued interaction with people. If you treat people like shit and just as something you reap for your own benefit, as a mere means for your gains - you'll set the precedence for your own treatment.
