On equal outcome

Equal outcome is like a marathon where everyone gets the first prize regardless if they ran the marathon or not. This will only lead to one thing: everyone stops running, because there's no point striving if it yields no additional benefit; why do it if the result was the same as not running, if the outcome was the same between those who run and those who don't?

Another way to look at it is that of an Easter egg hunt, where at the end of it the outcome for all the participants is the same; everyone gets the same amount of eggs. I mean if you gathered 15 eggs, because you are that good, I only got 5, and then the equal outcome is implemented: you'll get only 10 eggs, like me, even though you put in the work for 15 eggs.

The next time you might think that it would change things if you did a bit more and gathered 18 eggs, but since the last time I got more for less, I decide to just kick back and collect only 2 eggs. You'd get 10 eggs instead of 18, even though you worked 9 times harder than me, and I get 10 eggs too just for working on my tan. Eventually you see no point putting in the extra work, because the more you work the lazier I can get. As long as you collect more than me, it is more beneficial for me to just sit back and smile because half of everything you do more than me is mine.

TL;DR: Equal outcome rewards the lazy at the hardworking people's expense, so in essence: it rewards the lazy and punishes everyone else.
