Only insecure people need to convince other people that they are something; secure and self-confident people don't need to flex or show off, to them their awesomeness is as mundane as breathing air. You're doing it all the time, so it's nothing new nor spectacular to you. You are doing it by being it, so one doesn't have to point it out; it should be self-evident from your very being. People who believe in themselves, do not need other people to believe in them.
Tl;dr: If your awesomeness isn't clear enough for people to instantly notice it on their own, then you clearly aren't that awesome.
